You can choose mindfulness. What is mindfulness? Primarily its being aware of our thoughts. A more comprehensive definition is that it is a "mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations", (Oxford dictionary)
I'd like to add that as you observe your thoughts, knowing you are not your thoughts, detach from any feelings associated with them. Don't try to resist them or delete them, just be aware and let them come and go. By observing them you can perceive the reality that your thoughts are not you. By observing you can distance yourself from your thoughts. Sometimes your get so entangled in your thoughts that just observing them isn't enough for you to feel detached. In that case you can become the watcher, watching the observer observing your thoughts. That should fully remove you from any low vibration obsessing over repetitive thoughts.
Should You Feel Your Higher Vibration Thoughts?
Mindfulness practice would suggest that you not feel into them whether they are lower vibration or higher vibration thoughts. I would disagree to some extent. How are you going to experience joy and happiness if you don't feel into with the higher vibration thoughts? This doesn't mean you should attribute responsibility to external objects to determine your feelings. Don't be define by your thoughts. That is why it's important not to become attached to your thoughts and feelings. Just feeling the highest frequency ones in the present moment would seem to make sense to me.
Make Your Thoughts Irrelevant
However there is another way to enjoy your life without feeling into your good vibeing thoughts. A friend of mine, Ushma Patel, has an amazing new life philosophy called IIOII. "If It's Outside It's Iirrelevant". She takes you to your unique pure source essence by showing in her Facebook posts that if you let go of everything external (and its all external) then you feel lighter, happier and more fulfilled and can morph into whatever the highest frequency energy is calling you to be.
So making your thoughts irrelevant brings you freedom to feel the higher vibrations.
Activate Highest Consciousness
The moment you become aware and start observing your thoughts you are able to be present in the gap between those thoughts and you activate a higher level of consciousness. Let go of identifying with thoughts about your body, your mind, your career, your relationships. These things will all eventually be gone and are irrelevant.
Go Beyond Thoughts
To go beyond your thoughts you can practice entering pure consciousness. That is where there is no time no space and no thoughts. Some people get there thru meditation. I find just setting the intention To BE and finding myself going beyond the infinite doorway is enough to go beyond the mind to no thought. You may find it by making everything irrelevant and intending to connect with pure source. However you get there you will find it so freeing. At first it may just be intermittent. Several present moments together. Eventually it will be longer. From there highest vibration concepts may come in chunks of information or you may see codes which imbue themselves in you. This is what I call beyond thought. Perhaps this is how great discoveries and art of all kinds are made.
Now that you have time to spend on choosing your preferred thinking, get to know your eternal self, the divine part of you that is who you truly are. Transcend and play with going beyond thoughts into a dimension which is more vast than thought. Your life will become awemazing.
